Terms & conditions

By booking an appointment with Precision Saddlery you agree to the terms below. If anything is unclear, please ask before your appointment.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Bookings

Appointments can be booked by phone, WhatsApp, Messenger or email. Your booking is confirmed once I have agreed a date and time with you.

Group yard visit pricing applies when 4 or more horses are seen at the same yard on the same visit.

2. Cancellations

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less notice, or where I arrive and the horse is unavailable, may be subject to a cancellation fee.

If I need to cancel, for example because of illness or severe weather, I will let you know as soon as possible and rebook you at no extra cost.

3. Payment

Payment is due on the day of your appointment by cash or bank transfer. Parts and accessories are charged at RRP.

A travel charge may apply for appointments outside my standard working area. I will always tell you about this when booking.

4. Preparing for your appointment

To make the most of your appointment, please make sure that:

  • your horse is clean, dry and ready to be seen at the agreed time
  • a competent handler is available to hold and trot up your horse
  • there is a flat, level, hard surface for the static assessment
  • a suitable arena or safe area is available for the ridden assessment, and the rider is ready to ride
  • all saddles to be checked, plus the girths and pads you normally use, are at the yard

5. Saddle fitting

All fittings are carried out in line with current industry best practice. A fit reflects your horse’s shape and way of going on the day. Horses change shape with work, age, season and condition, so I recommend having your saddle checked at least every 6 months, or sooner if you notice changes.

Saddle fitting is one part of your horse’s comfort. Where I have concerns that go beyond the saddle, such as lameness, back pain or dental issues, I may recommend you speak to your vet or another professional.

6. Flocking, repairs & saddles taken away

If a saddle needs to be taken away for flocking or repair, I will give you an expected turnaround time.

7. Buying a saddle

New and second-hand saddles supplied through The Saddle Bank or Albion Saddlemakers are also subject to the supplier’s own terms, including any trial, returns and warranty conditions. I will talk you through these before you buy.

8. Safety

Your safety and your horse’s come first. I may stop or rearrange an appointment if I feel conditions, facilities or a horse’s behaviour make it unsafe to continue. Riders are responsible for wearing suitable safety equipment.

9. Insurance

Precision Saddlery is fully insured. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.

10. Your information

I keep your contact details and your horse’s fitting records only to provide my services and to contact you about your appointments. I will never sell or share your details for marketing. Photos or videos of your horse will only be shared on social media with your permission.
